Go to your hosting panel:
Use your username and password to log in.
In the left-hand menu, click “Websites & Domains”
Under your domain, click “Backup Manager”
This is where you can create new backups and view existing ones.
Click the “Back Up” button
Choose what you want to back up:
Domain configuration (recommended)
Mail (emails)
User files and databases (your site content)
Optional:
Add a comment like “Before theme update”
Enable notification when done
Click OK
Plesk will now create a full backup of your site. This may take a few minutes, depending on the size of your website.
After the backup is created, click the arrow icon next to it to:
Download to your computer
Remove to free up space
You can also click “Schedule” to automate daily, weekly, or monthly backups
If something goes wrong or you want to go back to a previous version:
Go to Websites & Domains > Backup Manager
Click on the backup date you want to restore.
You can choose to restore:
Everything (site, emails, databases)
Just files
Just a database
Confirm the restore by clicking Restore
Plesk will overwrite your current site with the backup version. This may take a few minutes.
Create a backup before making major changes (like installing a plugin or editing your database)
Schedule weekly backups for ongoing protection
Download a copy of important backups to your computer or cloud storage
