Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to help you back up your website using Plesk. Don’t worry—no technical skills needed!
Open your browser and go to your Plesk login page.
Enter your Username and Password.
Click Log in.
Once you’re inside Plesk, click on the “Websites & Domains” tab in the left-hand menu (or it may open by default).
Find the domain you want to back up.
Under your domain name, click Backup Manager.
This will open the page where you can manage all backups for that domain.
Click the Back Up button at the top of the Backup Manager.
You’ll see options like:
Full Backup (everything: files, database, emails).
Incremental Backup (only new/changed items since the last backup).
Leave the default settings if you’re not sure.
Make sure Include mail configuration and content is checked if you use email.
Click OK to start the backup.
Plesk will now create your backup. It may take a few minutes depending on your website’s size.
Once the backup is finished:
You’ll see it listed in the Backup Manager.
Click the small arrow next to the backup name and select Download to save it to your computer.
This step is optional but recommended in case your hosting server has problems in the future.
